Last Wednesday the President of the United States “extended” the Veterans Choice Act, which essentially taps Congress to open the program up further, and give more veterans the opportunity to opt for private care — rather than be forced to seek professionals within the Department of Veterans Affairs’ network alone.
The act was due to expire in August.
POTUS putting his signature on the bill means the program’s remaining $950 million will go into effect.
