MIWVE'S next FREE event  -Street Encounters: Know Your Rights

A Community Conversation on Policing

 Saturday May 14, 2022 @ 3:00 PM

The Pamela Sue Weaver Purpose for Life Cultural Community Center

4020 S. Division Grand Rapids, MI.

In response to the tragic loss of life of Patrick Lyoya by a GRPD Officer in Grand Rapids, MI. MIWVE's Founder/CEO's hometown.

MIWVE feels it's imperative that we provide a platform to empower the general public especially the at-risk youth to educate and empower them on knowing their rights in regards to community policing.

We believe in and support law enforcement however we also believe it's very important that specifically the at-risk youth knows their rights regarding law enforcement policies and procedures.

There is a historical cultural gap between law enforcement and minority communities in America. Our desire is to try to bridge this gap and provide solutions in hopes to save a life of a young person and the career of a law enforcement officer.

We are expecting the media to be present,

so please come out and join the conversation.
